The short story...

Russel has been performing and recording as a drummer for more than 40 years, starting in the early 80's as one of the co-founders of Stormbringer which played everywhere in Quebec with

Mic Myette, leading to steady touring of large venues such as Montreal's Olympic Velodrome,

Verdun Auditorium, to name a few.

Stormbringer became later on, still with Mic, Midnight Sun, Flying Circus and Hunter.

Russel was in the early 90s, part of the pop group Delta Zone's, recording on their entire album and toured extensively for Star Records,
before joining the first ever californian tribute to

Led Zeppelin, Michael White & The White.
He toured throughout Canada from

west to east coast, and the midwest and east coast of USA, with The White for more than 3 years.

For the later part of the 90s, Russel toured the province of Quebec with rock cover bands,
such as Le Staff, Rumour Hazit and Broken Rule to name a few...

From 2000 to nowadays, Russel has played drums for several touring bands,

mainly Black Sabbath & Ozzy Osborne tribute bands,
Sabbatum, Holy Sabbath and,

Back Sabbath (with whom he performed in,

Merida Venezuela, Grand Theatre de Quebec, L'Olympia de Montreal, to name a few venues),

all this while drumming for blues-rock cover bands, Flashback, Me & The Bad Boys, Made in Canada,

Le Staff Band, backing up Carl Tremblay, Jim Zeller,
Hit N Drum (DJ & Drummer duo for corporative events, with which he performed in Cancun Mexico along other big halls & venues),
as well as Heart Emotion (Tribute to Heart), and

Purple Night (Tribute to Deep Purple)...

Russel has performed and recorded drums with many original groups :

Stormbringer : 2 single releases with Offenbach's John McGale as producer, and Moose Molten Compilation album with Pierre ''Bazz'' Bazinet as producer...

Delta Zone : Star Records album release including 4 singles...

Skyscraper Madhowse : 2 self-released albums,

Presently part of FIST-MyoFist,  a Pink Floyd tribute band, named ''Bring Floyd'' and ''The MoonDogs'', a tribute to the Beatles with a distinctive repertoire.

Interesting fact is that Russel

performed the ''Moby Dick'' drum solo on stage many more times than its inventor, John Bonham,
making him a faithfull guest on all editions of Dan Vézina's ''Bonham Drum Show''...
